About Yana Poklad
Yana understood that her vocation is painting quite early in her life; by the age of 19 she had mastered the profession of scene painter. She has probably the best classical education available for painters in Russia: Master of Fine Arts degree at Moscow State V.I.Surikov Academic Institute of Arts (graduated 2002). Her specialty is easel painting.
Yana is a member of two most respected professional artists’ unions in Russia, Moscow Artists’ Union (the Section of painting, since 2005), and Russian Artists’ Union (since 2006). She is also a member of Artists' Union of the Russian Nobility Association (since 2016). She opened her exhibition record in 1998, and since then took part in >100 exhibitions in Russia and Europe. Yana teaches painting at advanced level to private students.
Yana’s works are included in collections of several respected state museums, including Polenov Residence State Museum, Ulyanovsk Region Art Museum, Tula Region Art Museum, Kaluga Region Art Museum. They are also present in private collections in Russia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, and Portugal.
Yana was born in Kaliningrad, Moscow region (presently Korolyov), Russia, and lives in Moscow. She is married, has two children.
